Mamei Baker has a deeply personal connection to her work and a wealth of experience that has shaped her approach to immigration law. Her journey from Sierra Leone to England and then to the U.S. gives her unique insight into the challenges her clients face, and a deep commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
Mamei first came to the U.S. and pursued a B.A. degree with a major in English Language and Literature at Berea College, which she completed in 1998. She returned to England where she qualified to practice law at Kingston University and The College of Law. After practicing immigration law in England, she emigrated to Texas in 2016. She completed a Master of Laws degree at Southern Methodist University to be eligible to sit for the Texas Bar Exam. She was admitted to the Bar in 2019 and has been practicing Immigration and Nationality law since.
Mamei's experience in family-based immigration, asylum, and deportation proceedings showcases her commitment to ensuring that individuals receive the support they need when facing life-altering situations. She is passionate about keeping families together and promoting positive societal change. She also believes in the power of skilled immigrants to strengthen the economy and enrich society.
She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Dallas Regional Chamber. She achieved Immigration & Asylum Accreditation from The Law Society of England and Wales.
