Terik Hashmi advises multinational corporations, emerging growth companies, investors, executives, entrepreneurs, and family offices on sophisticated U.S. business immigration, global workforce mobility, and cross-border employment strategies. For more than 30 years, his practice has focused exclusively on U.S. immigration and nationality law, helping businesses attract, retain, and deploy international talent while navigating complex regulatory requirements.

Mr. Hashmi counsels domestic and international clients on employment-based immigration, executive and professional visas, investor and entrepreneur matters, corporate immigration compliance, family-based immigration, removal defense, and strategic cross-border mobility. Having represented clients from more than 140 countries, he brings a global perspective to immigration planning, international workforce management, and complex immigration matters.

In addition to advising clients, Mr. Hashmi has held senior leadership positions directing sophisticated immigration practices, supervising attorneys and legal professionals, managing complex legal portfolios, and advising organizations before U.S. immigration agencies. He provides strategic, business-oriented counsel that aligns immigration planning with broader corporate objectives and international growth strategies.

Drawing upon an extensive legal education complemented by advanced graduate studies in transnational business law, Mr. Hashmi brings a sophisticated understanding of the legal, commercial, and operational issues facing companies conducting business across borders.

Mr. Hashmi earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, before earning his Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. He subsequently completed his Post-Doctoral legal education by earning an LLM (Master of Laws) degree in Transnational Business Practice from UOP McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, and the University of Salzburg College of Law in Salzburg, Austria. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Ohio and is fluent in French.
